Alan Olson, MA, LMFT received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University.
“I don’t view myself working with people who have mental illness; I see myself working with people whose mental health has been temporarily misplaced. I work with people to discover, refine, and activate their mental and emotional strengths.”
Alan brings over 20 years of counseling experience to his work with individuals, couples, and adolescents. In addition to Mood (i.e. Depression) and Anxiety disorders, Alan specializes in providing Marriage Therapy and recovery from sexual addiction issues. He also works with trauma recovery, having been formally trained in EMDR, Theophostic (Transformational), and Immanuel Process. Alan also enjoys and has worked extensively with spiritual issues and practical application and integration of one’s beliefs into one’s mental/emotional well-being and relationships.
Areas of interest also include integrative and holistic approaches to mental and physical health which factor nutrition, genetics, and environmental impact on one’s overall mental and emotional state.
