Sara Smith, MA, LMFT, earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in 2013. She enjoys working with people in all seasons of life and works with individuals, couples, and families using a systemic perspective. Her areas of experience and special interest include marriage/family conflict and relationship difficulties, adolescent behavioral problems and related parenting concerns, trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and spirituality. She has worked in both in-home and outpatient settings. Sara has training in Systemic Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and PREPARE/ENRICH couples inventory. She is also trained in EMDR.


Speciality: marriage/family conflict and relationship difficulties, adolescent behavioral problems and related parenting concerns, trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and spirituality.

Though our physical locations are closed, Life Development Resources (LDR) provides Telehealth (online-like Facetime or Skype) services. Therefore, current clients of LDR can use such services so that there is no interruption of their care during a time of social distancing to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. We also continue to accept new clients as long as we have availability.

As part of our commitment to the health and wellbeing to our staff, clients, and the larger community, our clinic continues to monitor local, state and federal agencies and are observing their recommendations.
