In marriage and couples therapy, we realize that every relationship goes through varying levels of ease and difficulty.  Often, challenges that a couple faces provide a means for growth both personally and for the relationship as a whole. Working with a therapist, you’ll learn skills to solidify your relationship and work through challenges together. Throughout the therapeutic process, clients will work towards building as well as reinforcing a strong emotional bond with one another. This bond will then be the foundation for a nurturing relationship.

Working with couples, the therapist will explore the positive and challenging parts of the relationship to better understand the sources of conflicts. Our therapists offer a balanced approach that targets both members of the couple unit equally.

Common areas addressed in marriage and couples therapy include:

The hearts at our clinic are heavy laden.  We grieve with the broken-hearted and recognize weariness from the pain around us.  We stand in corporate grief with the family of George Floyd, and all those who suffer due to the pain of historical trauma.  We stand in regret for our nation’s past and current division as we continue to battle racial bias.  We also acknowledge the psychological challenges faced by our first responders.  We offer an open and welcoming door for all those who are hurting and needing support.  The virus has taken a lot from us and now we are facing another significant challenge.  So, as we continue our work at LDR, our passion grows and our focus sets on caring for all people who seek our services.
