Amy Thorson

Amy Thorson, MSW, LICSW, LADC earned her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University in May of 2019. Amy enjoys working with adolescents and adults in all life stages. She has special interest in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, grief and loss, and substance use disorders. Amy is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A). Amy is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in Minnesota and specializes in treating substance use issues.


Specialty: Depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, grief and loss, and substance use disorders.
Education: Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
