Beth Hoyt

Beth Hoyt, BA is pursuing her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health counseling at Bethel University. Beth is a warm, approachable counselor-in-training who values creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. Her counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a focus on exploring the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how these patterns can influence daily life.

Beth works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, meeting each client where they are and tailoring the counseling experience to their individual needs. Beth believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth. Beth prioritizes building genuine, collaborative relationships with clients and families and creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves. When working with children and teens, Beth values collaboration with parents and caregivers and recognizes the importance of supporting the family system as part of the therapeutic process.

As a counselor-in-training, Beth works collaboratively with clients to identify challenges, develop practical coping strategies, and build skills that support positive change. Beth strives to help clients recognize their existing strengths while learning new tools to navigate difficult emotions, manage stress, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and work toward goals that are meaningful to them.

Beth’s goal is to create a counseling experience that feels both supportive and empowering – one in which clients can develop greater self-awareness, build confidence in their abilities, and make meaningful progress toward the life they want to create.
