Jenavieve Kindvall

Jenavieve Kindvall, MA, Clinical Trainee received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Community Counseling from South Africa in 2017. She worked as a Clinical Psychologist within the South African context prior to moving to the United States. She has experience with a variety of clients in a range of settings, including hospitals, psychiatric wards, and out-patient centers. Jenavieve desires to help children and adults mentally, emotionally, relationally and spiritually in their daily lives. She has a systemic and holistic approach to healing that focuses on the present, as well as explores the impact that trauma, family upbringing, medical conditions, and other factors contribute to one’s overall functioning. She believes the therapeutic encounter can facilitate change and approaches each client as an individual, catering to their specific psychological needs. She hopes that through the collaborative therapeutic relationship, clients will develop a greater awareness of their own functioning, address areas of concern, and work towards achieving their goals.


Specialties and Areas of Interest: Childhood trauma, abuse, crisis management, relationship difficulties, mood disorders and anxiety, spirituality, self-esteem and identity, and suicidality.

Education: Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Community Counseling from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is currently pursuing LPCC Licensure in Minnesota.
