Monica Vang, MA, LPCC is an outpatient psychotherapist and children’s in-home skills therapist (CTSS program) who specializes working with people ages 7+. She offers both in-person (Oakdale and Lakeville offices) and telehealth sessions for outpatient services.
She integrates her knowledge and training in CBT, DBT (adolescents and adults), and EMDR to help clients process difficult experiences, regulate emotions, and develop practical skills for everyday life. She utilizes play and creativity techniques to support clients in learning and applying practical skills to reach their goals and live a life worth living. She uses a strength-based approach to support clients with their circumstances and to build empowerment.
She is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for clients to be heard and valued. She strives to help clients find hope in the healing process as she believes healing happens through both insight and meaningful connection. She works collaboratively with clients to help them move toward greater balance, resilience, and well-being. She believes it is a privilege to walk alongside each client as they explore healthy strategies to manage difficult emotions and situations.
